Indian Air Service has achieved another major success on Sunday. The Air Service has successfully test-fired its SAMAR air defense missile system. Let us tell you that earlier the Indian Air Service had successfully tested the Akash missile. Defense officials have said that India has become the first country to achieve such a capability, which enables it to engage 4 targets under command guidance at that range through a single firing unit. The indigenous AKASH weapon system has been made by DRDO.
DRDO – DRDO was formed in 1958 by the amalgamation of the then existing Technical Development Establishments (TDEs) of the Indian Army and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production (DTDP) with the Defense Science Organization (DSO). DRDO was then a small organization with 10 establishments or laboratories. But now its size has been increased.DRDO head quarter is located in Delhi
