In today’s time, winter is increasing rapidly. The weather is changing. In such a situation, cough, cold, cough, fever or skin itching has become a common thing. These things are not very dangerous, but there are some people who already have problems like sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol etc., then they may be in more danger due to wrong eating habits.
Reduce salt intake
There is very little sweating in the winter season, hence people who have BP or other problems should take minimum amount of salt (means half a teaspoon or two to 3 grams) because in summers, even without exercising, the body sweats through sweat. Salt is removed from the body in a certain correct quantity but this does not happen during the winter season. Rock salt is more beneficial for the body than ordinary salt. Keep in mind that its quantity should also be kept less. However, chips, crisps and namkeen have very high salt content. Do not eat these things and keep some distance from pickles also.
Avoid eating red meat…
Eating red meat is prohibited during the winter season. Red meat contains more protein and eating too much red meat in winter increases the risk of mucus formation in the throat. Therefore, it is advised not to consume red meat, processed meat and high fat meat during the winter season.
Dairy products
Dairy products produce mucus. Due to this, wheezing and other infections in the chest increase. Therefore, cold dairy products like milk, shakes and smoothies should be consumed in limited quantities in winter. Also avoid eating cold curd in this season. People who suffer from cold and cough easily should consume less dairy products.
Do not consume alcohol
During the winter season, most people take alcohol to keep themselves warm. Keep in mind that it is not good to consume too much of it. By consuming it the body gets dehydrated which causes harm.
